UnitingCare Community has over 130 Lifeline Shops across Queensland, provides cleaning rags for sale to industry and also exports some stock overseas. This smart and streamlined business process ensures the reusable donations we receive have a useful, longer life rather than ending up in landfill.

Proceeds from our shops, rag sales and export trade help fund Lifeline’s 24-Hour 13 11 14 Crisis Counselling Line, face-to-face counselling, financial counselling, community recovery and support programs for children and families. Funds raised in local Lifeline Shops fund local Lifeline services.

By purchasing second hand goods, such as clothing, accessories, books, bric-a-brac, furniture and cleaning rags, you are helping the environment by reducing air, water and land pollution and reducing the need for new natural resources like timber, petroleum and fibres to make new products.
