Thumb Through The Pages At Caboolture Lifeline Bookfest

April 16th, 17th & 18th 2011

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - PLEASE APPLY HERE

UnitingCare Community Greater Sunshine Coast is holding their annual Bookfest in Caboolture over the weekend of Saturday April 16th, Sunday 17th and Monday 18th.  Held in its usual location at Apex Park, Centenary Lakes Indoor Basketball Courts on Morayfield Road, the Bookfest will have more specialised and unique books than ever before.  Doors will be open from 8:30am through until 4:00pm each day with the Monday dedicated to the clearance sale of the left over reading gems.  Book collectors and passionate enthusiasts travel from all over the Coast and Brisbane to search through the Caboolture Bookfest tables so if seeking a particular volume, manuscript or novella, remember that the early bird gets the worm.

Paperbacks and hardcovers of every genre, topic, subject and style will be available for perusal by avid readers and collectors that take a fancy.  The Lifeline Caboolture Bookfest is an enormous success each and every year largely due to the shear number and variety of books available and also due to the astounding and selfless work that only volunteers are capable of and that brings the event into being.  Volunteers of all types whether they be young, old, working, retired, unemployed, have a love of books or just a love of volunteering, work hard and are proud to be a part of such a successful event.

The Lifeline Caboolture Bookfest is the principal Bookfest on the Sunshine Coast and has the largest array of excellent quality books making it an event landmark to be penned into the calendar as a must for those sick of paying retail shop prices.  The Bookfest has books that are decades old but also stocks a multitude of books that are very new and can still be found in retail stores.  It is amazing what people donate.  Some people don’t want a book cluttering their shelves once they have read it and prefer to donate it to make room for their next purchase.  Others can use the Bookfest to stock up on the year’s reading supplies.  Patrons can find their favourite and most sought after titles available to buy and keep from the Caboolture Bookfest.

To tap into the well known secret that is the Caboolture Bookfest and satisfy your love of books, don’t miss the 2011 chapter on April 16th, 17th and 18th.  If you would like to volunteer for the Bookfest and become an integral and greatly thanked cog in the production of setting up, packing down and the running of the event itself, please contact Debbie Gibson on 0438 150 702 or email debbie [dot] gibson [at] lccq [dot] org [dot] au
