UnitingCare Community has a representative sit on the Brisbane Corporate Community Network Steering Committee.
BCCN is an informal network of people who work in community engagement, representing companies, community organisations and government agencies. The role of BCCN is to provide regular avenues for this network to learn from existing business-community partnerships, share information, and find new ways to further develop partnerships and meet like-minded people.
BCCN relies on corporate support to provide free educational events and initiatives to our members that deliver positive and beneficial outcomes to Brisbane’s community and provide an outlet for discussion and debate on topics affecting both sectors. For more information or to join visit the BCCN website, BCCN Facebook page or BCCN LinkedIn page.
To increase the reach of the financial counselling program and help more people in financial distress, UnitingCare Community has partnered with Origin and Ergon Energy.

Ergon Energy partners with UnitingCare Community in providing financial counselling services to their customers who are experiencing financial difficulties. It also increases awareness and understanding of domestic and family violence and its impact on the workplace and broader community.

School-based counselling is a free service that aims to support children and their families with the difficulties and challenges that can arise during the school years. P&O Cruises is a proud supporter of Lifeline via a national partnership with Lifeline Australia. P&O expresses that it is pleased to provide help in a very practical and exciting way. With a regular program of ship refurbishment, P&O Cruises is able to supply Lifeline with large quantities of surplus material including furniture, small electrical items and quality bedding. It’s a very tangible way of contributing to Lifeline’s fundraising efforts in support of its vital counselling services in the community.
UnitingCare Community has teamed up with Australia’s leading buyers of gold, The Gold Company, and is partnering on an innovative initiative that will allow Australians to donate their unwanted gold to Lifeline.
The initiative, Gold For Good, allows Australians to donate their unwanted gold to UnitingCare Community via the website, www.lifeline.goldforgood.com.au
With the continuing increase in the price of gold, many Australians have chosen The Gold Company as their preferred method of letting go of jewellery that may be out-of-fashion, broken or acts as a reminder of past romances. The Gold Company has a strong reputation for offering the highest price for the sale of gold items which ensures that any donation made to Lifeline will also be of highest potential value.
