UnitingCare Community is often looking for passionate people with retail experience who want to make a difference.

Our Shop Managers are responsible for the management and operations of the retail outlet and its team to achieve all business objectives and key outcomes.

This includes liaising with customers, managing stock and overseeing a small team including volunteers. Those working for Lifeline are able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, provide excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to succeed.

There may also be the opportunity for paid positions within our warehouses. Although many volunteers help sort, deliver, and display our stock, we do require staff to oversee and coordinate these tasks.

UnitingCare Community exists to strengthen the lives of individuals, families and communities through wide-ranging community services that deliver enhanced access, efficiency and outcomes to the people who matter the most - its clients. The funds raised from the organisation’s Business Division are used to help these clients. Lifeline’s Business Division in Queensland offers a challenging, rewarding environment in which to work.

As we’re part of the UnitingCare Queensland group of community service organisations, we have a strong values base namely: compassion, justice, respect, working together and leading through learning.

UnitingCare Community presently employs nearly 2,400 staff, is aided by more than 5000 volunteers, runs 160 different programs and is located at almost 200 sites.

If you’re interested in working at a Lifeline Shop, at our warehouse or as a truck driver, you can visit our Job Vacancies page or send your expression of interest via email to our recruitment [at] uccommunity [dot] org [dot] au (Human Resources Department).

UnitingCare Community offers generous salary packaging to maximise your take home pay.
