Elder Abuse is not a new phenomenon, however it is one that is now gaining a great deal more momentum and interest as people live longer and quality of life is higher than in past generations.  This creation of the 'old old' generation has meant that people need their assets to sustain them and provide for their care as they become frail and increasingly dependent on care. 

For years aliens have watched our planet, knowing the only way to conquer us is to obtain all our knowledge. Our planet is under threat and our books aren't safe! Help defend our knowledge by heading to the Lifeline Bookfest and buying up big!

Though its origins date back some 20 years ago in Brisbane, there are now several Lifeline Bookfests held throughout Queensland every year. UnitingCare Community needs hundreds of volunteers annually to help make each event a success.
